Fascination in Pushkar....
One of the main jaw droppers when in Rajasthan, and especially in Pushkar during the fair, is the great variety and size of turbans on men. When we were first in Pushkar, back in 1980, we used to go down to a quiet and peaceful sunset view spot over the lake (it was a real lake then), where there was a little chai stall, and local men would come nearby and lay their turbans out to dry - all 20-30 meters of turban! Not sure how long some of these turbans below are, but we find them fascinating.

Stepping back to Delhi.....
I haven't really put many pics of our short stay in Delhi up. Shorter the better, given the grotesque air pollution in Delhi while we were there. Still, I enjoyed walks around the little alleys around Pahar Ganj, so here are a few shots from walking around.

A few pics from Pushkar and the Pushkar Fair
Out of order from the trip....I'll add New Delhi pics in a later blog entry.
These pics are all from around the Pushkar Mela and Livestock fair - known as the Pushkar Camel Fair given the number of camels involved!
